Neighbourhood Watch Message – Burglaries In Up Hatherley

A house in Fernleigh Crescent was entered sometime on the night of 28th June probably through and insecure front door. The owners only became aware of the burglary when they awoke in the morning and discovered the front door wide open. The house had been searched and a mobile phone bank cards and a set of house and car keys are missing.
Also a house in Caernarvon Road was entered on the same night through an open ground floor window. A briefcase and an iPad were stolen. The briefcase was later found discarded in a nearby street.
Please remember to keep your doors locked at all times to prevent walk in thefts and also keep your ground floor and other accessible windows closed when you go to bed.
